Coming up.....
Our next public event will be the annual Stroud Festival of Nature. If you're in the area, why not come and see us at Stratford Park in Stroud on 7th July from 11:00am.

On 18th April, The Guild appeared alongside The Bath Preservation Trust at a fantastic free event - celebrating UNESCO World Heritage Day - held at Green Park Station. Visitors of all ages enjoyed having a go at stone carving and talking to us about our work.

On 8th April, with two new Apprentices having moved to the Gloucestershire area, the Guild decided to take a visit to Gloucester Cathedral and some nearby quarries. A great opportunity for learning.

4th April saw the Guild's first appearance at the unique Woodchester Mansion. The Master and Apprentices began work on copies of decorative pieces from the mansion for a demonstration day this Summer.

One of the Guild Apprentices took a research trip to study a particular ceiling boss on 22nd March. A copy of the 'Red Sea Crossing' boss will be carved and auctioned later this year, with the proceeds going to Norwich Cathedral's Music Appeal.

A small team made a visit to the historic Sapperton Canal Tunnel Portal in early January to complete a survey of the stonework. This survey was in support of The Cotswold Canals Trust's extensive canal redevelopment project.
