The Beautiful Galatea

It was a great pleasure to be approached by Dario Silva, conductor of The Imperial Vienna Orchestra, for help with his recent production of the operetta The Beautiful Galatea (held in The Central Hall, Wymondham on 21st and 22nd April). The Guild provided props and set-pieces for the operetta, including a series of drawings based on illustrative plates from Hogarth’s Analysis of Beauty, to adorn the staged workshop of Pygmalion. Our congratulations go to Maestro Dario and his orchestra on what were, by all accounts, very successful and well-received performances. We are hopeful that this event has paved the way for further sculptural-musical collaboration between Mr Silva and The Guild.
